INGEBORG BALDASZTI

Ingeborg Baldaszti was born in Vienna, where she studied with Prof. Elisabeth Dvorak-Weisshaar and Hans Graf at the Hochschule für Musik und darstellende Kunst as well as with Prof. Dianko Iliew at the Konservatorium der Stadt Wien.

Having won various national and international competitions at a very early age, she established herself among the leading pianists of the young generation in Austria. In 1991, she was honoured by the International Franz Schubert Society with the "Grand Prix Franz Schubert" for her overwhelming interpretation of the "Wandererfantasie". In 1995, the Austrian Special Interest Magazine "SIMS" elected her "Artist of the Year" for her outstanding artistic achievements.

Her brilliant techniques combined with very mature interpretation soon attracted the attention of renowned orchestras and conductors. She now regularly performs with orchestras like the NHK Symphony Orchestra Tokyo, the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, New Zealand Symphony Orchestra, the RSO Frankfurt, the Dresden Philharmonic, Bamberg Symphony Orchestra, Bern Symphony Orchestra under the baton of conductors like Horst Stein, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Walter Weller, Bruno Weil, Dmitri Kitajenko, and Juri Simonow, Adam Fischer, Leopold Hager.

She also performed in many Festivals like Bruckner-Fest Linz, Haydn Festspiele Eisenstadt, Bregenzer Festspiele, Wiener Festwochen, Mozart-Fest Würzburg, Schubertiade Feldkirch, Schubert Festival Roskilde (DK), Internat. Schopin-Festival Kartause, Gaming, Baalbek International Festival (Libanon), Wiener Musiksommer Klangbogen, Schwetzinger Festspiele, Berliner Festtage, Carinthischer Sommer,...

A great number of radio and TV appearances, among others for BBC Scotland and BBC London, Japanes NHK, and Austrian ORF, as well as various German radio stations have further contributed to Ms. Baldaszti's international renown.

She performed also in a 13-parts TV-Series of Antonio Victorino D'Almeida which deals about the piano. It was televised in 2007 on the portugese channel RTP 1.
